Product Code: SG1535
This is a complete set of sterling silver salt spoons that were manufactured in Japan from the early 1930s until the late 1940s. This set is in a wood box with brass hinges and covered with a gray paper. The box is in above average shape considering the age of this item. The spoons have custom tops on each one - including a traditional Japanese house, a lantern, a pagoda, a Buddha, a Tori or gate, and a traditional Fan. The box is lined with dark blue felt. Each spoon measures approximately 8 inches long and they are made to look like Bamboo stems. The spoon bases are made in the shape of the Chrysanthemum flower. This is a wonderful original set made pre or during World War II.
